Where did the time go? My little bug Matty is a whole year older. I can't believe he's gotten so big. It feels like just yesterday that I was in the hospital hooked up IVs galore and holding my precious little Matthew for the first time.
We had a Spongebob almost sleep over party for him this year. We invited over his cousins for pizza, cake and to watch Planet 51 all snuggled up in sleepingbags. It was an awesome night for Matty. He was so excited I don't think he ever stopped smiling the whole night through.
Matty, Phoebe and Elijah were on such a cake sugar high they weren't able to fall asleep until around 11:30 pm. The boys finally passed out snuggled together in Matthew's twin bed and Phoebe eventually curled up with us in the big bed.
Five years old is a big milestone... A bittersweet moment. The end of toddler years and babyhood. The beginnings of being a true big boy. It all makes me teary and happy all at the same time.
