Phoebe's most recent favorite song has me flashing back to my distant roots in the cheeriest of ways.
My Grandma Margot was a cousin to the famous Lennon sisters. As a result, their songs have saturated our family for several generations. Most of their songs I fondly remember my Mom singing to me and my siblings. And now I find myself singing their songs to my own little munchkins.
It brings back so many memories and just makes me feel fuzzily content inside to teach my kids the songs that have been sung for so many generations in this family. What my Grandmother taught to my Mother, that my Mother taught to me.
