For the first couple days up at the country house Mom and I took the kids to the nearby pool. It was awesome. The kids had a great time. There was a shallow area of the pool that was about 2 1/2 feet deep which was perfect for the kids to splash and play in. Even Phoebe could touch for a good majority of the time although she pretty much stuck to me like glue which was really unusual. Normally at pools she is always trying to throw herself into water that's much too deep.
I bobbed about with Beatrix and Phoebe watching the boys practice swimming. By the end of day two Elijah could do a pretty mean dead mans float and a semi decent doggie paddle.
